Qualifications

We have been a member of Building Industry Consulting Services International since 1997. BICSI is the industry-recognized trade organization that provides standards-based design and installation methods for the telecommunications industry.

BICSI’s registration program provides a level of assurance to the telecom industry and to consumers that individuals working in datacom are qualified to do the job. Our team includes Registered Communication Distribution Designers who have passed an extensive exam and stay current with industry trends. We also employ multiple Level 1 and 2 installers and technicians.

Our staff also includes members of the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies. NICET provides a recognized certification process for individuals designing and installing fire alarm systems and other building systems.

Whatever the low-voltage requirement, Capital Electric’s integrated systems group has the professional certified staff and technicians to complete the project safely and on time.

Changing to Meet Client Needs

The integrated systems group was developed in 1997 as a response to the increased volume of limited energy and voice/data structured cabling work in the late 1990s. It was an opportunity for Capital Electric to further diversify services while hiring skilled and seasoned systems technicians.

As the industry has changed, we broadened our skill level and expanded into fire alarms, access control, closed circuit television, audio/visual, master antenna system, structured cabling, outside plant (fiber optics and copper) construction and building automation.
