Project Description

The Ewing Kauffman Charter School includes a middle school and high school with a common cafeteria and gymnasium. The school is privately funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and is intended to provide college preparatory education.

The project included a 3000-amp 480-V service, 130-kW emergency generator, 40-kVA UPS, three automatic transfer switches, and integrated panel and transformer switchboards. The lighting system is controlled by motion sensors and is capable of dimming and daylight harvesting. Capital Electric also installed a digital addressable fire alarm system and voice and data structured cabling systems.
