• BNSF construction project

Project Description

The BNSF Intermodal Facility is a 440-acre intermodal facility and 560-acre logistics park. The BNSF Intermodal Facility provides businesses with a direct connection to the global supply chain via the BNSF’s transcontinental railroad that begins in Long Beach, California and terminates in Chicago, Illinois.

The facility offers companies the ability to quickly and efficiently ship goods by rail and truck to their final destinations. The facility is equipped with wide-span, electric, rail-mounted gantry cranes that produce zero emissions onsite and  have significantly reduced the number of hostler trucks needed to move containers within the yard.

Capital Electric Construction provided electrical installation of cable tray, conduit, cabling, labeling, cable terminations, grounding installation and connections, floodlights, light fittings, switches, socket outlets, junction boxes, motor connections, equipment connections, motor heater installations, control and contactor installation, and testing.
